Every year the province of Nova Scotia presents the city of Boston with its official Christmas Tree. This tree is a "thank you" to the people of Boston for their quick aid after the devestating Halifax Explosion on December 6th, 1917.

As a tribute to this tradition and the deep bond between our two regions, we brewed a Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Nordic Stout and added a hint of spruce tips, for good measure! The extended rest in American Bourbon barrels lends a smooth warmth, yielding the way for a unique Norwegian yeast strain to hold court with subtle fruit top notes, balancing effortlessly with rich chocolate and espresso malt undertones. It’s layered and complex, and utterly flawless in execution.
